Domain & DNS Setup

How do subdomains work at GeekISP?

Subdomains are pretty simple - they work just like regular domains. Specifically, you add or delete them using the same methods as you would a full-fledged domain, but at present these do not count against your quota.

In order to create a subdomain, you must first create a domain. You may only create subdomains of domains you control.

By default, subdomains are used solely for web access. It is possible to use a subdomain for mail, though generally this is not necessary.

Its possible that someday there might be hosting plans available where the number of subdomains available to a customer is limited. As of right now all plans may create an unlimited number of subdomains.
